24th Annual DR PEPPER SONIC GAMES

The competition field continues to narrow as SONIC® Drive-In (NASDAQ: SONC) announces the Top 50 nationwide drive-in crews advancing to the semifinal round of the brand’s annual training competition, the DR PEPPER SONIC GAMES. The nine-month competition seeks out the best performing drive-in crews from every corner of the country and encourages friendly competition among their peers.

The group of 50 crews will be narrowed down once more to the Final 12 before traveling to the national finals at the annual SONIC Convention in Denver, Colo. this October.

“Reaching the semifinal round of the competition is no easy feat, and we could not be more impressed with the quality of the crews we have making it to the top 50 this year,” said Diane Prem, Vice President of Operation Services at SONIC. “In recent years, the DR PEPPER SONIC GAMES competition has grown into an important training tool for our crews that allows them to perfect their skills at the drive-in while delivering exceptional customer service.”

One of this year’s top crews is the Celina drive-in as they continue to rise above the competition and look to take their team to the next level of the Games with an invitation to compete in Denver this fall.

Throughout the competition, the crews participating in the DR PEPPER SONIC GAMES take on challenging team and individual competitions in their local market. The competition spans nine months and tests crewmembers’ expertise in all areas of SONIC service through a series of challenges and learning modules.
